This spread was created by one of my students in a Tarot Class I taught at Mystic Candle and Metaphysical Shop in 2015. Jaime gave me her permission to use the spread in my future readings and classes. I am sharing it here with you and thank Jaime for her beautify designed spread. You should know that it’s one of the most functional spreads I’ve ever used for predicting the events of the coming year.
The position of the cards is numbered 1 through 19 and laid out in the order as shown. The purpose of each position is listed below the layout diagram.
To find your year card for the first position add your birthdate plus the year. For instance, my birthdate is August 30th, and this year is 2025. Add 8 + 30 + 2025 = 2063. Then add 2 + 0 + 6 + 3 = 11. This card is pulled from the Major Arcana, in my cast it’s Justice. That card goes in the 1st position shown in the spread diagram. Now shuffle the rest of the deck and cut and lay them out in positions 2 through 19 as diagramed.
Positions 2 through 13 give the monthly influences, January through December. Positions 14 through give the Elemental influences. Card # 14 – the element of Air for mental, educational, legal or communicational influences for the year. Or, if you prefer, this card can be seen as the influences that is governs the spring of the year. One or the other, but not both.
The same applies to cards # 15 through 17. They can be used as the Elemental influence for the year, or the Seasonal influence, as listed in the chart.
I’m sure cards 18 & 19 need no explanation.
As you read through the months, take into consideration the either all of the Elemental influences or the Seasonal influence that goes with that month, as well as the Hidden and Visible influences.
